From care to opportunities: development of community services. SIC Social workshop
We started in June of this year (2020), so we are still very young, but we are trying to jump into the activities that unite us with ideas.
SIC SOCIAL WORKSHOPS
It is part of the project "From care to opportunities: development of community services" (project code 08.4.1.-ESFA-V-405-03-0001), which aims to increase the independence and thus enabling them to live in the community according to their need.
SIC social workshops provide opportunities for people with disabilities to acquire work skills while performing real work tasks with the help of specialists, thus increasing their opportunities for employment in the open labor market.
PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES CREATE MIRACLES !
All of our products are designed, manufactured and shipped by wonderful and highly creative project participants with mental and / or intellectual disabilities.
SIC SOCIAL WORKSHOPS. FROM IDEA TO PRACTICE
Our activity is innovative in that all products are focused on the Zero waste philosophy. Resurrecting second-hand items for a second life is - our main mission.
We are currently developing products from textiles and yarns. All products are sewn, tied and woven from worn clothing, bedding and other pieces of material.
WE ARE SUPPORTED BY CUSTOMERS!
Our main sponsors are our customers, who donate obsolete materials and clothes to SIC social workshops.
ZERO WASTE PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy is ZERO WASTE , therefore we try to create all products from recycled, used materials.
We make products only from natural yarns or fabrics, such as: linen, wool, cotton, silk, which are easy to recycle.
Our goal - reduce consumption, reuse, recycle - these are the basic principles of Zero waste, which are easy to apply in everyday life.
We grow and educate consumers
We believe that in the modern pace of life, it is important to use awareness and to be a conscious consumer. We encourage our customers to think about whether they really need it before making a purchase.

Iki šiol projekto dalyvės prisimena tą dieną kai mūsų dirbtuvėse lankėsi Šiaulių miesto Meras Artūras Visockas.
Būtent tada Meras davė mums didelį uždavinį - paruošti rankų darbo gaminių, kurie bus padovanoti garbingiems Šiaulių miesto svečiams.
Labai malonu, jog mūsų nuostabaus Šiaulių miesto meras pastebėjo mus ir mūsų veiklą ir labai tikimės, jog ši graži draugystė tęsis dar ne vienerius metus
Nuotraukoje matote mūsų projekto dalyves, kurios bendromis jėgomis itin kruopščiai dirbo su šiuo dideliu užsakymu, šiandien viskas iškeliavo į Šiaulių miesto savivaldybę ir džiugins miesto svečius
